Lily Lolo Mineral Foundation SPF 15

 http://www.lilylolo.co.uk

Foundation - £12.49
Kabuki Brush - £14.29

I love this foundation also I am really happy with how little it costs and this small pot lasts ages you can put as much or a little on depending on how much coverage you need to use the Kabuki Brush that you can buy from the lily lolo website

Their is a starter kit called the Complexion Perfection Kit where you can get a foundation (of your colour choice) a finishing power (of your choice (i use flawless matte under my foundation and also over my foundation I will discuss the finishing powders soon)) and a Kabuki brush price is £35.99

The best thing about this foundation is that it give your skin an airbrushed look and last all day with out any touch ups.

For ages no one knew I wore foundation until I told them they all thought it was my own skin that's how good this foundation is.

The colour I use is Porcelain which is the shade to the right. I have the palest skin tone (so pale you can see my veins through my skin) with no undertone at all and could never find a foundation light enough for my skin until I found lily lolo a few years ago and was the first foundation to match my skin tone perfectly. All other foundation that said it was porcelain were way to dark and made my skin that dreaded orange colour due to them usually having yellow undertones or a pink colour due to pink undertones. Also this foundation is good for the skin and is antibacterial that stop break outs.

Most of my friends where either using this make up as well or have been converted due to how happy they where with the results once they had found their shade using the samples (they are all different ethnicity's and skin tone).

The foundation is available from Porcelain to Hot Chocolate so there something for most skin tone. There are sample pots so you can test which one suits your skin also you can mix them together to make your own custom foundation shade

The main details given about the foundation are:
    • Lockable sifter means no spills or mess
    • SPF 15 helps protect skin from damage
    • Contains light reflecting mica, perfect for minimising blemishes and fine lines
    • High performance and water resistant
    • Oil free, suitable for all skin types
    • Active antibacterial ingredients
    • Vegan friendly
    • Use with the Super Kabuki Brush for flawless application
    • Non-comedogenic
    • 10g (Full Size) & 0,75g (Sample size)
The only ingredients are: Mica (CI77019), May Contain: Titanium Dioxide (CI77891), Zinc Oxide (CI77497), Iron Oxides (CI77491, CI77492, CI77499) so completely natural.

This foundation is good for your skin, matches skin tone perfectly and makes your skin look flawless what else could a person ask for.

Could it be a bra size calculator that works?

YES I think it does

This bra size calculator by A Sophisticated Pair http://sophisticatedpair.com does work it did give me a 24HH instead of of a 26H My rib cage is 24 inches (I put in 25 as I dont like my bras tight)  but I do normally wear a 28gg with the back adjusted which has the same cup as a 24HH 26H (ive just got an ewa michalak bra in a 26HH and the fit is amazing so I think ive found a brand that I will stick to )

So give it a go and see what size you should be wearing if you cant make it to a bravissimo for a real fitting

A good outfit needs good foundations

What I am talking about is a well-fitting bra. As someone who was told by bravissimo that I am a 26HH/24J, I know the importance of a well-fitting bra but sadly my size does not exist at the moment so I have to wear a 28gg and have the back adjusted or order a made to measure one from Ewa Michalak http://www.ewa-michalak.pl whose bra are very well made and very pretty and have a size range from a AA to HH to get under a 30 band (65) you will have to email them and ask if they can make you one there is a button a the top of their website to make their website English and you can email them in English as well.

So why is a well-fitting bra so important well shockingly 75 per cent of women are wearing the wrong size bra with the most common mistake being a back band size that is too big. This could also be due to the add four/ five inches to the back band of bras to get you size this does not work and is causing many problems with bra fit you should not add four inches to your rib cage size. There is a movement to ban plus four http://busts4justice.com/

Sadly I know the damage a badly fitting bra can do as I was fitted at a 32g when I was 13 by M&S as they did not produce anything under a 32 band at the time. I have scars from where the straps where permanently on my shoulders from wearing the wrong size bra.

Here are some of the signs that you are wearing the wrong size bra

  • The back band rides up - if this is happening then the band may well be to big your band should be horizontal across the back
  • Shoulder straps dig in - 80% of support comes from the band most likely problem band is again to big
  • Double boob - or the four boob affect most likely problem cup to small
  • Baggy cups - mostly the cup is too big
  • Wires stick away from front of bra between the boobs - i.e. don’t lie flat against the rib cage could be a sign that your cups are too small

These are just signs the best way to find out your true bra size is to go to bravissimo http://www.bravissimo.com and get fitted they made a huge difference to me and the way I fit my clothes as a well-fitting bra makes a huge difference to your figure

Here are some links to videos from brastop / love bras where I get some of my bras from that should show you some of the signs that the bra does not fit right and how a bra should fit

Non toxic beauty products

I’ve always had very sensitive skin and most of time my skin would react to many cosmetics even the ones that had been specially designed for sensitive skin, so I went to my GP and was told I have allergies to many modern chemicals and that I must avoid them (I can't even go to the local swimming pool due to the chemicals as it caused my skin to react badly).

So, ever since then I have been using non-toxic natural beauty products as well as non-toxic natural cleaning products as well. So since then I started to look in to what was in the products I was using and what I found in these common beauty products was not pleasant many of these products contain many toxic ingredients.

Many of these products contain nasty chemicals such as:

  • Sodium Lauryl Sulphate and Sodium Laureth Sulphate are used as detergents and surfactants and are found in floor and car degreasers but shockingly they are one of the main ingredients in your normal cosmetics, everyday toothpastes, shampoos and conditioners and products that bubbles.
  • Mineral Oil and is a buy product of the petroleum industry and is there for every cheap and found in lotions, creams and baby products.
  • Synthetic Fragrances many products can contain up to 200 synthetic (man-made) ingredients and are just written as fragrance on the ingredients list.
  • Phthalates are widely used compounds that are found in plastics and wood finishers but also in your Powders, Fragrances, Nail Polishes, hair products, Skin Creams, Deodorants and Aftershaves.
  • Formaldehyde is a colourless, flammable; chemical that is used in building materials but is also used in nail care products and polish, moisturisers, eye shadow, lip glosses and sticks, shaving products, shampoos and even a some baby shampoos.

There are many more but I could be here all day.

So since natural products have become easier to get hold of over the past few years. I have had a lot of experience though trying many kinds of different brands of natural beauty products and have found out what has worked for me and what has not. But am always on the look for new products to try.

So I have decided to share my experience of different products, brands what works for me and what has not and any new products that I come across.
